Welcome
This web site is an archive of recordings taken during Bible Teaching meetings at The Gospel Hall, Church Street, Coventry UK.
The aim is to provide a resource of sound, Bible-Based teaching about God, The Lord Jesus Christ, the New Testament Church, Christian living and the Bible.
They cover a range of subjects and themes as listed in the navigation links on the right hand side of this web site. All the recordings are in MP3 format, in either 32 or 16kbps mono quality. They can be downloaded by simply right-clicking with the mouse and choosing the option to download to the PC, the actual phrasing depends upon the type of browser you are using. A broadband internet connection is recommended.
All the recordings are Copyright of the individual Speaker and of Church Street Gospel Hall, but are available for free download for non-commercial use.
Considering the number of different speakers and subjects, some speakers may express opinions, teaching or interpretations of scripture that the listener might not be familiar with or perhaps agree to. In such cases we humbly suggest the listener do as the Bereans did in Acts 17vs 11, and search the Scriptures and check for yourself, to be sure of what you believe. One aspect of Bible Teaching is indeed to teach the word, to give the sense of it. Another aspect is to promote further study of the Bible and this further study might start by considering what a speaker has said and understanding it for ourselves. A good understanding of the Bible does not come from being spoon fed teaching and being able to repeat statements in a parrot fashion.
So if you hear something new or unfamiliar, check with the Scriptures to see if it is so. If you hear something you don’t agree with, check with the Scriptures to see if it is so. You might be convinced to change your mind, or you might gain a better understanding of why you don’t agree with it.
2Timothy 3:16- 17 All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work.
